An object substance is defined by its function.
The artistic practice of Lea Mugnaini (1992 Florence) explores the relationship between structures and forms and how it determines the human perception of an environment. Her artistic effort strives to capture the formal development of natural and artificial objects.
By deconstructing elements into essential and primal shapes, and reassembling them in an altered form, the artist forges a new abstract -but substantial- interaction with the surrounding environment.
Shifting between drawing, painting and sculpture, Lea’s work establishes a novel vocabulary of archetypal shapes.
In 2020 she co-founded the nomadic art residency an• other here.
